We are here because you want to know how to unsend an email in Gmail. The recall email or unsend email after sending is very simple and easy in Gmail. But remember one thing this is only for a short period of time. For example, most of the Gmail users send emails in Gmail and then search how to recall an email in Gmail after an hour. Most of the peoples want to unsend an email after a day, 1 hour, or maybe 10 minutes.

Before starting this article here I clear one thing. The maximum time of an email where you want to unsend is 30 seconds. Yes, 30 seconds actually this is a delay after sending the email. In this short period of time, we have an undo option. So here we talk about this option and also guide you on how can adjust the setting of the undo timer from 5 seconds to 30 seconds.

How To Set Email Unsend Timer in Gmail

Everyone notice when we send an email then a popup undo notification shows for some seconds in Gmail.
Until this popup show, we are able to unsend/recall emails in Gmail. When this popup is disappeared then we cannot unsend an email. So we can adjust this popup setting and adjust the timing of its appearance. Let’s talk about how we set up the timing of this popup from 5 seconds to 30 seconds.

How To Recall an Email in Gmail Within 30 Seconds

As we asked you before that the 30 seconds timer is the maximum time which Gmail allows us to unsend email after clicking the send button. For this adjustment simply open your Gmail account. Then click on the “Gear” icon and select “See all settings“. The same thing I perform and show you in the given screenshot.
Then the “General” tab open automatically after pressing the see all settings option. Here we find the option of “Undo Send“. In undo send by default Gmail select 5 seconds. We change 5 seconds to 30 seconds which is the maximum time. In the given screenshot we highlight the unsend option and the timer of 30 seconds.
